This past weekend, many families came to camp on the fourth of July for The Funnest Fun of their summer! We had an action-packed long weekend full of sun, family bonding, laughter, relaxation, and worship of The Good Shepherd! We started the weekend with a hub roast and welcome chapel, where we were introduced to our speaker Joe Lomando.
As the weekend progressed, families enjoyed several of camp’s finest offerings: laser tag, swimming at camp’s beautiful waterfront, boat races, the carpetball tournament, world cup soccer, and the Screamin’ Eagle Zipline! Kids at camp enjoyed special Kids Club chapels (complete with a visit to our summer-long sheep guests), while the adults got to learn about how God is with us and leads us.
The evenings were capped off with the campfire and the legendary lion hunt, as well as the home run derby. We also enjoyed the “Best Legal Fireworks Show in Minnesota!” to celebrate Independence Day together. On Sunday, families were sent off with sweet memories of camp, full bellies, and a wonderful time spent at A Meeting Place With God. Thank you, God for a REALLY GREAT WEEKEND!
