Men's Retreat

September 22-24, 2023

Pay in full by August 10, 2021 and get a $10 OFF your retreat!

Gentlemen, it's time for a retreat.

Men, it’s time to schedule a weekend away to unplug, retreat with other guys, and experience God away from the busyness of life.  Camp Lebanon sits on the shore of quiet, spring-fed Cedar Lake, the perfect setting for a peaceful cup of early morning coffee or a fun fishing adventure.  Activities abound – football, wiffleball, hockey, and pickleball let you stretch your athletic muscles, or you can participate in our annual trap shoot, golf tournament, or horse shoe tournament.

All the activities are great, but the main focus is on meeting God – experience Bible centered teaching and join with a room full of men singing loudly in worship!  Our chapel times are intended to encourage conversation and discussion, with breakout time in small groups after each session.  Perfect for your group of guys to grow together. Learn in fellowship with other men, and dive deep into God’s Word.

"For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

Men, this is war! The battle belongs to the Lord and so does our armor! And because His Kingdom is advancing, there is no standing in wait of the enemy’s attack. Unsheathe the sword of God’s Word and engage the fight! Entering the skirmish without a sword is unthinkable. It would be like stepping up to the plate without a bat. Like going fishing without a pole. Like making pancakes without a flipper. Men, pick up your swords and experience God’s victory!
  • FRIDAY NIGHT: Know Your Sword
  • SATURDAY MORNING: Daily Sword Training
  • SATURDAY NIGHT: Going on the Offensive
  • SUNDAY MORNING: Standing Strong on Defense

Weekend Leadership Team

Scott serves as the Lead Pastor of The Grove Church in Maple Grove. Originally from California, he has come not only to embrace the different seasons but also the people of Minnesota.

Davis is the Associate Pastor of Outreach & Development at Hope Community Church, and also serves as the Chaplain for the Minnesota Twins. He loves most forms of competition, compelling stories, and watching the Packers lose.

Steve is the founding and Senior Pastor of Hope Community Church. He spends most of his time teaching, helping new churches get started, mentoring and coaching the three Lead Pastors of Hope’s three locations.

Paul is no stranger to Camp! After 20 years of church planting in Europe, Paul served as lead teaching pastor for a thriving Cornerstone Church in Litchfield, MN. After retiring, he accepted a position at the Mokahum Ministry Center, an arm of the Center for Indian Ministries at Oak Hills Christian College (Bemidji).

We are excited to have Wade & Jon lead us in worship this year! Not only are these guys great musicians, but they are committed dads, leaders, and men of God. Monte (keys), Parker (bass), and Imholte (drums) plan to fill out the rest of the band.

Bill Abeler

When you spend time around Jessica, you get the impression she is quite the introvert. She runs from the stage, cameras and microphones….hmm, she is fantastic but we need a new host.

Robert Billiam (“Bobber Bill”) is a gifted speaker from Upsala, who will undoubtedly encourage guests young and old to memorize Bible verses by using actions and their outside voices.

Monte Abeler

Richard Olson is the finest mandolin player you’ll find in all of the streets of Upsala, where live is looking up. He’s sure to make ya sing and dance, and say strange things like “ooga booga dooga whop.”

Grow together.

Bonus Golf Options

Want to add in a round of golf on your way up to Camp on Friday? We have spots reserved at the Albany Golf Club for 1 PM tee times. Mark “Early Bird Golf” when you register for Men’s Retreat. You’ll pay at the golf course on your own.

For an additional $35 you can join in on our traditional Golf Scramble on Saturday morning at the GreyStone Golf Club in Sauk Centre.  The cost includes 18 holes of golf, cart fees, and a boxed lunch from Camp. Make sure to include this when you register for Men’s Retreat.
