Men's Advance!

APRIL 7-8, 2023

One Night. Three Meals. Four Sessions.

Men’s Advance! begins with an 8pm Friday chapel and ends with a delicious Saturday dinner. This is the perfect spring weekend format! Church men’s groups can use Camp Lebanon’s annual Men’s Advance! to challenge men in their walk with Christ.  The intensive Bible study is life relevant and goes deeper with small group follow-up discussions. There’s also time for fun with laser tag, wiffleball, foosball, pool, pingpong, carpetball, power sleeping, and more! Men’s Advance! is a retreat designed to encourage men both in their walk with Christ and in fellowship with other Christian men

Theme & Speakers

"The Armor of God: EQUIPPED. ARMED. DEPLOYED."

Disciples of Christ, we have the tools and it’s time for action! As followers of Jesus, the Spirit has equipped each of us with the seven essential pieces of spiritual armor. Six are detailed in Ephesians 6 in comparison to those worn by the Roman soldier. The seventh is prayer, but there is no corresponding metaphor since ICBMs had to be invented! Discipleship is the call. The battle is real. And victory is assured to those who follow after the triumphant, resurrected King!

SPEAKER:
Paul Jorgensen

Paul is no stranger to Camp Lebanon, having served as camp missionary and Bible teacher dating back to 1986. After 20 years of church planting in Europe, Paul served as lead teaching pastor for a thriving Cornerstone Church in Litchfield, MN. After retiring, he accepted a position at the Mokahum Ministry Center, an arm of the Center for Indian Ministries at Oak Hills Christian College (Bemidji). Paul has been married to Sharon for 42 years. They’ve been blessed with 4 grown children and 8 grandchildren.

HOST:
Bill Abeler

“Bobber Bill” is the Executive Director at Camp Lebanon. Your best chance at finding him when he’s not serving guests at Camp is to check his favorite fishing spots.
