Junior High 3 was another incredible week at Camp Lebanon, filled with the funnest fun, laughter, competition, and opportunities to grow in faith. From exciting camp activities to unforgettable special events, campers made the most of every moment and created memories that will last long after the week ended.
Campers enjoyed many of their favorite activities throughout the week. They soared through the trees on the Screaming Eagle Zipline, battled another cabin during laser tag, cooled off at the waterfront, and got creative during crafts. Cabin time was also an important part of the week, giving campers opportunities to connect with their counselors, build friendships, and enjoy time together as a cabin.
The all-camp games brought plenty of energy and excitement to the week. During Free the Hostage, campers divided into teams and raced across camp to find staff members hiding on the opposing team’s side. Working together, campers used teamwork and strategy as they tried to rescue their hidden staff members and bring them back to safety.
One of the biggest highlights was Slush Rush, a brand-new twist on a classic camp game. Campers were divided into two teams and had to work together to grab their team’s flags and bring them safely back to their side of the field without getting tagged. But getting tagged came with a messy consequence, in order to rejoin the game, campers got slime poured on them! The combination of strategy, speed, and a whole lot of slime made Slush Rush an unforgettable experience.
Junior High 3 also had a very special surprise during Mail Call. As campers gathered for the skit, a helicopter arrived on site, adding an incredible element to the story and giving campers a moment they certainly won’t forget. What started as an ordinary Mail Call quickly became one of the most exciting and unexpected moments of the week. Campers later got the opportunity to sit in the helicopter and talk with the pilot.
Competition continued throughout the week with the volleyball tournament, where cabins battled it out on the court while their friends cheered them on. Every game was filled with teamwork, determination, and plenty of cabin spirit as campers competed for the championship. Sweden cabin won the girls’ bracket and Germany cabin won for the boys.
While the games and activities made the week exciting, chapel remained at the heart of Junior High 3. Campers gathered twice each day to worship, hear God’s Word, and learn more about what it means to follow Jesus. Chapel provided campers with time to slow down, reflect on their faith, and ask important questions about their relationship with Christ. Through worship, teaching, and cabin conversations, campers were encouraged to take what they learned at camp and carry it with them into their everyday lives.
Junior High 3 was a week full of moments campers won’t forget, from flying down the zipline and battling it out in laser tag to getting covered in slime during Slush Rush and watching a helicopter arrive for Mail Call. More importantly, it was a week of growing friendships, strengthening faith, and experiencing the joy of Christian community.
