On Sunday evening we kicked off Camp Lebanon’s last week of summer camp, Super Kids 4! We are so excited for a week of fun, laughter, and learning about our “Good Shepherd!” After finding their cabins and couselors, campers headed to the lake for swim tests, said “see ya later!” to their families, and headed to the Steps of Faith for staff introductions and flag lowering.
After an outdoor picnic dinner, campers reviewed camp rules, making sure to know how to have The Funnest Fun of their summer! Counselors took their cabins on a camp tour and headed to the Main Hall for the first chapel of the week with our speaker, Curtis Roth, learning how to be Fragile Followers of our Good Shepherd.
The evening ended with free time, canteen, and a hilarious staff variety show including a fast food taco, an unusual camping adventure, and hippopotamus auditions (ask your camper!!)
Monday morning opened with a bright and early Polar Dip, fishing for a large Northern spotted by campers, flag raising at the Steps of Faith, and a fantastic waffle breakfast. Joshua and Nicole Wilke from Peru spoke about having the faith of a mustard seed during our Mission Monday morning chapel. The morning was capped off by Options and Cabin Adventures.
The beautiful day God has given us is moving quickly along and so are our wonderful Super Kids 4 campers! Stay tuned to hear about what is surely a memorable, God-appointed week. We pray for Him to do great things in and through us here at Camp Lebanon! Woo-hoo!
