Elevate Discipleship Program Kicks Off! Meet the Interns:

We are thrilled to officially kick off the Elevate Discipleship Program at Camp Lebanon this year! This new program is designed to provide a unique opportunity for young leaders to grow in their faith, gain hands-on ministry experience, and develop their leadership skills in a dynamic camp setting. We are blessed to have four incredible students enrolled in this inaugural year, each bringing a unique blend of talents, experience, and passion for serving the Lord.

Returning to camp as interns, we are excited to welcome back Santiago Mendoza and Noah Desrosiers, both of whom have demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to Camp Lebanon’s ministry. In addition to Santi and Noah, we are excited to welcome two new interns to the Elevate Discipleship Program: Abby Sickler and Abby Robertson.

Santi

Santi is a true servant leader. A graduate of Camp’s D3 Discipleship program and Leaders in Training (LIT) course in 2019, Santi has served on Summer Staff three times, most recently as the Male Staff Supervisor. Known for his gentle spirit and willingness to serve in any capacity, Santi is a soft-spoken yet impactful leader. Last year, he helped lead and host several guest groups and often served on the Housekeeping and Dining Hall teams. Santi is currently pursuing his degree through the University of Northwestern St. Paul (UNWSP) and has plans to continue serving in ministry settings. We are blessed to have him back for a second year in the Elevate program!

Noah

Noah also returns for his third year and has consistently shown what it means to be a hard worker with a great sense of humor. Noah first joined us in the summer of 2022 as a counselor, where his energy and willingness to help in any way needed made a significant impact. As our first intern, Noah pioneered the internship program and helped pave the way for future participants. This past summer, he continued to support our Guest Ministries and summer youth camps. Noah is currently pursuing his degree in Business and Ministry at the University of Northwestern St. Paul (UNWSP). We are thrilled to have Noah back, building on the foundation he helped create.

abby s.

Abby Sickler was our Female Staff Supervisor for the summer of 2024 and brought incredible leadership to our team. She is another product of camp's D3 training program and LIT, graduating the same year as Santi. Known for her strong work ethic and commitment, Abby is currently completing her degree in Ministry and Biblical Theology at UNWSP. Her ability to lead with grace and determination will be a tremendous asset to the Elevate program. She is playful, fun-loving, and always wears a smile. She is also planning her wedding with her fiancé, Andrew.

abby r.

Abby Robertson newly served as a counselor this past summer, where she thrived in her role and blended well with the staff. She is known for her big personality, can-do attitude, and willingness to serve whenever needed. Abby’s enthusiasm and dedication to Camp Lebanon make her a perfect addition to the Elevate Discipleship Program. She also happens to be our youngest Elevate participant to date! She is goofy in the best way, which helps her in making others feel welcome and in forming authentic connections. She is passionate about everything she does and cares deeply about doing the right thing.

Looking Ahead:

We are excited to see how God will work through these amazing young leaders as they embark on this journey with the Elevate Discipleship Program. This year will be full of new experiences, spiritual growth, and opportunities to serve both within Camp Lebanon and beyond. Please join us in praying for Santi, Noah, Abby S., and Abby R. as they dive deeper into their calling and continue to make an impact in our ministry.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers for Camp Lebanon and these dedicated young leaders!
