We had an awesome first full day with the Senior High campers! It was such a beautiful sunny day to enjoy the outdoors and get a little sweaty in all of the games today!
This morning began with polar dip. Each day of the week, campers have the option to jump in the lake as a refreshing way to start their day. After polar dip, we raised the flag and the campers learned today’s memory verse along with the actions.
Then, it was time for breakfast and afterwards, campers were dismissed to clean their cabins and then have TAG Time. TAG Time means Time Alone with God Time. Each morning after cabin cleanup, campers will have time to find somewhere to sit by themselves and read their Bible and pray.
After TAG Time, we split up for Men’s and Women’s chapel. The women heard from one of our staff members Molly, who told them about how she placed her identity in things that did not define her because she didn’t see herself the way God sees her. She talked about how our identity in Christ and who He made us to be and how we should live out a life in Christ. The men talked about purity in all areas of life and what it looks like to be imitators of Christ.
After morning chapel, campers had some free time until we gathered to take the camp picture! Each camper will be sent home with a printed off version of the camp picture, but for now, here is a goofy one we took for fun!

Then, it was time for clinics and seminars! This is a time where campers have a variety of different options to participate in. Clinics and seminars are led by staff members; clinics are usually an activity, and seminars are more of a lesson and time to answer questions. Campers had a list of seminars to choose from today that they will also be able to choose from on Wednesday. Tomorrow and Thursday will be a different set of options for them.
Then, it was time for lunch! After lunch, campers watched a video put together by staff members before getting their mail. Once mail was passed out, it was free time!

Following free time, campers gathered at the Amphitheater for flag lowering before dinner. Tonight’s dinner theme was the 90’s, and the staff had a blast decorating and dressing up!
After supper, campers got together with their teams to work on their project for the week. The project is to create an infomercial for a random item, but not for its’ intended purpose.
It was then time to head up to the North 40 Field for “Mighty Mighty Scoop Noodle Challenge.” This game is new to camp this year, and we love teaching it to the campers and getting to play it. It is similar to capture the flag, but there are a whole bunch of items to capture. Also, for today’s round, we mixed things up and separated the playing field into four sections instead of two sides, and with over 200 people playing, it was a little bit chaotic, but in a fun way.
Now campers have evening free time until chapel tonight, which I will touch on in tomorrow’s blog. After chapel, campers will go back to their cabins for devotionals and then it will be time for bed.

The photographer has beautiful pictures. However it would be nice to see more pictures of the group’s. There are many pictures with the girls but not many of the guys that are there. How can we see the photos on the camp Lebanon site? Do they take pictures of the group’s by cabin? I have been looking on Facebook as well and have not been seeing a lot of new pictures except the girls playing games. The first couple of days the pictures were about group activities, which was great then I was able to see pictures of my son and his friend. Thanks for your time in answering my questions.
