Tuesday at Camp was filled with JOY! This morning started with a dip in the refreshing lake to wake up, as always. Then after a delicious breakfast of eggs, ham, and Camp’s famous oatmeal, the campers had more time to spend alone with God to read the Bible and work on the memory verses for the week. As campers memorize verses and say them to their counselors, they get their names put in a drawing to throw a pie into a staff member’s face at the end of the week!
Time alone with God was followed by clinics and seminars, then morning chapel. Today, the girls talked about Loving Your Neighbor and the guys talked about Responsibility and Integrity. Morning chapel is always followed by time to discuss the chapel topic as a cabin, and today’s discussions were full of good questions and thoughtful ideas.
After lunch and a funny mail call skit, it was Free Time! Today, there was swimming, boating, slack-lining, the Craft-of-the-Day was tie-dye, and several kids rode the Screamin’ Eagle Zipline!
After dinner, we are having evening chapel once again with our speaker Nate Temp. Tonight he is talking about what the “uniform” looks like when we’re on God’s team.
After chapel, we are going to play game of Capture-the-Flag (with a twist)!!! We are thankful for the beautiful weather that we had today and we are all excited for more learning and laughter tomorrow.
