Record June Kicks Off Summer Ministries
Back in the months of snow, Staff set a challenge goal for summer youth camp, dubbing it “#1800!” With camps filling and waiting lists growing, their wild dream is closing in on reality! The “funnest fun!” kicked off with 197 Super Kids 1 campers, followed by 178 for Junior High 1, both records. Adventurers was even crazier with 216 registered (plus 12 more on the wait list!) As usual, August looks to fill before July, but in the end, ALL sessions will max out for the first time ever! While reaching goals is fun, it’s not the numbers that energizes our team. The bottom line is this: God is giving Camp Lebanon a tremendous opportunity to share the love and life of His Son Jesus with TONS of kids grades K-12. Family camps are on record pace, too! Thanks for praying us through!
What’s New at Camp Lebanon?
Camp may be 71-years “old,” but there’s still a lot of “young” going on. Two new program elements greet campers at the beach. In the swim area is the super fun RockIt, an inflatable that bounces up to six swimmers at a time. Stacked on shore are 12 new Corcls, floating discs powered by kayak paddles. On dry ground, hundreds of campers are discovering the fun of Laser Tag, a strategic, fast-paced, and pain-free game utilizing infrared shooting taggers. The west end Gazebo and Scandinavia deck are two facility improvements, with more to come, including an extension to the Beaver Point Board Walk and a new Chalet deck. Come and see!
