Men's Retreat

October 9-11, 2026

Gentlemen, it's time for a retreat.

Men, it’s time to schedule a weekend away to unplug, retreat with other guys, and experience God away from the busyness of life.  Camp Lebanon sits on the shore of quiet, spring-fed Cedar Lake, the perfect setting for a peaceful cup of early morning coffee or a fun fishing adventure.  Activities abound – football, wiffleball, hockey, and pickleball let you stretch your athletic muscles, or you can participate in our annual trap shoot or horse shoe tournament.

All the activities are great, but the main focus is on meeting God – experience Bible centered teaching and join with a room full of men singing loudly in worship!  Our chapel times are intended to encourage conversation and discussion, with breakout time in small groups after each session.  Perfect for your group of guys to grow together. Learn in fellowship with other men, and dive deep into God’s Word.

MAN WEEKEND.

HOBBY BREAKOUT SESSION:
“Cybersecurity – Protecting Self, Family, and Others”

Presented by:  Steven Bauer, Cybersecurity  Engineer

As a Security Engineer, Steven has advised 120+ businesses in improving cybersecurity posture. His God-fueled passion as a protector grew out his early years on a small family farm, where ne protected animals from the elements and critters. Joining the Navy was a natural for Steven. First as a Boatswain Mate and later the MN National Guard, he expanded his desire to protect both his fellow service members and country. Beginning in the infantry, Steven progressed from mechanized infantry to tank gunner and then signal corps (IT & Communications). His year-long tour in Iraq involved protecting U.S. Army and coalition forces from numerous cybersecurity attacks as part of the Army Blue Team defense.

While in the Guard, Steven worked for a US-based global agri-business giant where he assisted in securing administrative systems, enterprise resource planning environments, and IT security. After 24 years he returned to school to focus on Cybersecurity with a broad IT infrastructure background. As a follower of Christ, Steven is always looking for ways to protect both his family and  organizations that follow God. At Men’s retreat, he hopes to help men increase their cyber security knowledge in order to better protect themselves, families, and those around them.

Man Topic:

God can and must be trusted. His word. His promises. His plan. Trust (faith!) is the beginning, end, and oxygen for our relationship with Him. Little wonder, then, that trust (faithfulness) is the necessary foundation of all healthy relationships. Without trust, marriage fails. Without trust, businesses flounder. Without trust, hope vanishes. Men of trust know something better!

Weekend Speaker/Worship Leader

SPEAKER:
OFFICER ANDREW DOTAS

Andrew was critically wounded in the July 14, 2023 ambush that claimed the life of Fargo Police Officer Jake Wallin and left several others injured. After weeks in the ICU, he faced the long journey of healing—not only physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Andrew will share his powerful story of recovery, resilience, and post-traumatic growth. He’ll reflect on how his identity has shifted beyond the badge, the role His faith played in his healing, and how God has used unimaginable tragedy to build a stronger foundation for life and ministry. His testimony is a compelling reminder that even in our deepest struggles, God can bring restoration, purpose, and renewed strength.

WORSHIP LEADER:
ALMANDO JEAN LOUIS

Al has been married to Cassandra Jean Louis for 14 years and counting, and together they have 4 beautiful children. He serves at Camp Lebanon as the Facilities Manager. He previously served with a short-term mission organization based out of Minneapolis for 15 years as Missions Coordinator and Operations Manager. Al spent the majority of that time traveling and leading mission teams in helping the local church serve their communities through work projects, evangelism and disaster relief. He is known as a jack of all trades. He loves using his hands to carry out projects of many kinds. He is also very gifted in languages and music! He speaks four languages and plays a few other instruments besides his main instrument, drums.  He loves leading people before the throne through music and teaching of the Word of God. Al enjoys the outdoors, loves to play soccer and is sometimes good at doing and thinking about nothing for a few minutes. He says that Jesus is the only good in him and he very much looks forward to His return.

Bill is the Executive Director of Camp Lebanon, and also goes by “Bobber” Bill!
