It is officially the last full day of Junior High 1! We are having so much fun with these campers. Our time as been filled with joy, laughter, fellowship, and memories made. The week may be coming to an end soon but we still have lots of fun surprises planned for these campers!
This morning we had a later start as we all enjoyed an extra hour of rest for Sleep-in-Day. Once we all got up, lots of campers participated in the Polar Dip–some cabins even got all of their campers to participate! Isreal Cabin volunteered to raise the flag for us this morning. Before heading to breakfast, we sang a Morning Movement about spaghetti and practiced our Memory Verse John 10:10-11. After eating, we cleaned our cabins and had some TAG Time. For Men’s Chapel this morning, the boys had a panel where some of the male staff and our missionary of the week answered questions from the campers. During Women’s Chapel, we heard from Izzy Thostenson, Assistant to the Director of Ministries at Camp Lebanon.
After Chapel, we had Morning Free time until Lunch. Lots of campers spent time in the HUb, playing sand volleyabll, four-square, nine-square-in-the-air, or on the playground. Some campers even decided to go back to their cabin and take a nap so they’ll have even more energy for the day! At Mail Call, some of our staff performed a special Kung-Fu dance battle for campers! Once we got our mail, campers chose a Clinic or Seminar to attend. Now campers are enjoying their Afternoon Free time!
This evening, we will have Chapel right after Dinner, then everyone will get ready for the Camp fire! Campers will have Free time to get changed, visit the Canteen, and spend time in the Hub before we get together with our cabins and make the trek our to Bass Point. At the Camp fire, we will sing Action Songs and Worship, hear from our speaker Zach one last time, go on the Lion Hunt with Bobber Bill, and fellowship in God’s gorgeous creation! We are so excited for all the time we have left together!
