2024 Family Week

Everyone had a blast at Family Week! We welcomed over 40 families to join us for the week to have fun and make memories with their families Camp Lebanon style. Together we honored the Lord by spending time in His creation. We sat around campfires, worshiped our Heavenly Father, played games in the Hub, and spent time in fellowship with one another.

As families arrived, we played carpet ball, bean bags, pool, and explored main site. On the first night we ate Dinner, went to Chapel, enjoyed Free time, and had some popcorn while getting to know everyone.

On Monday, some families participated in the Annual World Cup Soccer Tournament. We had lots of fun up at the North 40 playing with our friends and family. In the end, everyone was a winner because we all had FUN! After Dinner we met at the Waterfront for Boat Races. We had three divisions: pedal boats, canoes, and kayaks. Families in canoes and kayaks raced all the way across Cedar Lake to find something green. Pedal Boaters raced around the swimming area. It was quite the windy day but everyone successfully completed the race!

On Tuesday we took our Camp picture in the morning. During the afternoon, some families got to take a ride down the Screamin’ Eagle Zip line! In the evening we play dodgeball on the Sand Volleyball Courts and Krazy Kickball down at the Wiffleball Stadium. During Chapel, we heard from our speaker for the week, Josh Underbakke. Josh is the Senior Pastor at Hope Fellowship Church in Ramsey, MN. On Wednesday, some families went on a Gym Tour with Bobber Bill. In the afternoon we played Laser Tag and after dinner families went on a Photo Hunt around Camp!

Thursday was one of our most exciting days yet! Brian and Mary Lubinski lead a Nature Hike early in the morning. After breakfast, some went swimming while others visited the Lower Lot for BB Guns and Archery. After lunch, families went head-to-head in the Carpet ball Tournament. During Free time we opened the Waterfront, Canteen, Craft room, and Trading Post. After dinner, we had the honor of witnessing the Baptisms of Sage Lubinski and her son Gage Lubinski right here in Cedar Lake! Families gathered around to witness this great step in their faith journey. Afterwards, we got ready for the Camp fire. Due to weather we moved out Campfire inside the Main Hall, but we still had loads of fun! Bobber Bill took us on hus famous Lion Hunt–will he ever catch the lion? After the Campfire many went to the Wiffleball Stadium for the Homerun Derby. It was an impressive battle and so much fun!

On Friday, we gathered in the Main Hall for our Closing Rally. We got prizes for the biggest fish, our best disc golfers, the Gorilla gets the Man champion, Polar Dip, and the Medallion Hunt winners! Family Week was full of joy, laughter, and memories. We hope to see you all next year!
