2024 Senior High – Days 4 & 5

it is officially the last full day of Senior High week! We are sad to know we will be sending these campers home tomorrow, but so thankful for the time we’ve had together and all the fun that is yet to come!

On Wednesday, we started the day with Polar Dip and Flag Raising. Israel Cabin volunteered to raise the flag for us, thank you ladies! After Breakfast, we cleaned our cabins and then found a spot outside to do TAG Time. Spending time in God’s creation and recognizing it’s beauty is one way we can take time to glorify God! Next we split for Men’s and Women’s Chapel. Following Chapel, we gathered at the Steps of Faith to hear the rules for the Cabin Skit Challenge.

Cabins performed their skits for a panel of judges and the winners will be announced later today along with our Photo Challenge winners! After everyone performed their skits, we had some Free time until Lunch. After eating, we gathered back at the Ampitheatre for Mail Call, then we heard about our Clinics and Seminars for the day. During Free time, campers went down the zip line, played laser tag, visited the Craft room; the Four o’clock Options were 9-Square in the water and Mafia with Elias. The dinner theme for Wednesday was Smurf. After Dinner, we gathered at the Water front for a baptism in Cedar Lake!

In the evening, we went to Chapel and then had Free time in the Hub. Russia Cabin and Detroit (the UK) Cabin played their final match at the Sand Volleyball Courts. Detroit Cabin came out victorious, congratulations boys! For our night game we played a round of FUGITIVE–staff hid around Camp and tried to make it back to the Tennis Courts without being caught by any campers.

This Morning, we sang Jingle Bells for our Morning Movement and practiced our Memory Verse. After Breakfast, campers put extra hard work into cabin clean-up today–one cabin even got 15 stars! For Chapel this morning, guys and girls split and heard from a panel of speakers. Campers were invited to submit questions for the panel to answer throughout the week. Thank you to our panel speakers! After Chapel, everyone gathered at the Steps of Faith to get ready for Lunch.

TAKE CAMP HOME

Ask your camper about what they learned during TAG Time. What practices help them feel the connected to God? Encourage them to implement daily TAG Time into their life outside of Camp!

After Lunch, we watched a silent performance of the Tortoise and the Hare for Mail Call. Now campers are at Clinics and Seminars. This Afternoon we will have Free time until Dinner. Keep tabs on our photo galleries to see the pictures from our formal dinner this evening! We will end the night with a Camp fire and Worship.
