Quilting, Crafting, & Scrapbooking

Stitching together a delightful variety of work time, instruction, delicious meals, and fellowship, it is no surprise that Camp Lebanon is one of Minnesota’s favorite destinations for quilting and scrapbooking. Weekend and mid-week sessions in the spring and fall give women many options for a high-quality retreat experience.
Camp Lebanon’s dedicated Quilt & Craft teams are committed to providing excellent accommodations in a resort-like setting featuring everything you need to make quilts, complete scrapbooks, develop friendships, or simply relax and unwind. Our low-structured, highly organized retreats allow women to devote lots of time to their projects and to new and old friends. A favorite feature of each season is a creative theme that includes fun decorations, friendly instruction, and a Bible-centered focus that points women to the Creator of their artistic abilities. Minnesota-based quilt shops multiply the value of every retreat as select shops enrich each event with special classes, fabrics, patterns, and other supplies on sale.

2026 Theme "Foundations"

The lowest load-bearing part of any building is the “Foundation.” It must be solid for a building to sustain the elements—whether storms, earthquakes, or the weight of time. In the same way, the foundation of our lives must be strong — built on the Truth of God’s Word — if we are to stand firm through life’s challenges.

This spring we’ll explore the Foundations of our Faith as we fellowship, quilt, and craft. Come join us as we strengthen the foundations that hold us together.

2026 Beginner Quilt Pattern: "Garden Steps"

For first-time quilters, or those who want to cultivate stronger quilting skills, “Garden Steps” will help you learn and practice foundational skills. The traditional block used in this quilt first appeared in print in the 1890’s, but your fabric selections can give your quilt any look you like, from calm and warm to bright and modern. Instructors will provide group instruction and individualized assistance to help you succeed!

Pattern: $10. Please pre-register for the class. The pattern will be mailed along with your confirmation packet.

2026 Advanced Quilt Pattern: "Leftover Leaves"

Instead of collecting and intending to use trimmed triangles, make Leftover Leaves and use those triangles to make two-color leaves. Raw-edge machine appliqué for the leaves and bias strips for the vines make a unique wide border that’s easier to sew than it might appear. The blocks can be made from a collection of fat quarters. Throw in a few scraps for visual interest or use all scraps for the blocks. Lots of contrast between the block fabrics and the wide border fabric will make the leaves pop!

Pattern: $10. Please pre-register of the class. The pattern will be mailed with your confirmation packet.
