The second day of SuperKids 1 started with a glorious rain storm. While the fields and trees were nourished with rain, the campers made the most of their time inside by having a fun morning chapel, complete with a round of Gorilla Gets the Man. After chapel, the campers all ran to their cabins to dress up their counselors as “cabin mascots” using only things from their cabins. Then, campers and mascots all returned to the chapel for an exciting fashion show featuring the characters they created.
After a delicious lunch of walking tacos, the rain had stopped and we had our afternoon skills classes. Although it was too windy for canoeing, some campers still learned the basics of boating and paddled all around the hub! Then, free time featured zipline, tie-dye, swimming, and a round of Run and Jump! in the Chalet lounge. There was a lot of laughter today as some campers caught baby turtles and frogs.
The highlight of Tuesday was definitely the Camp Carnival. Campers enjoyed games, popcorn, face paint, and running around with their friends and counselors on field. After the carnival, we continued the fun by enjoying our chapel speaker Brian sharing more about how to be on “God’s team.”
Tuesday was full of excitement, laughter, and the funnest fun. We are all looking forward to tomorrow!
