Mighty Mighty!

It was beautifully sunny today, so we got to enjoy all of our outside games, and maybe got a little sweaty.

Today was an awesome first full day of activities with the Super Kids 2 campers! It was beautifully sunny, so we got to enjoy all of our outside games, and maybe got a little sweaty.

This morning, we started the day with polar dip! Each morning this week, campers will have the option to jump in the lake as a refreshing way to wake themselves up. After polar dip, we gathered for flag raising and learned the actions to one of our memory verses (Colossians 3:12) before heading to breakfast.

Following breakfast, campers were dismissed to go clean their cabins, and then everyone gathered for the whole camp picture! Each camper will be sent home with a printed out version of the whole camp picture, but here is a goofy one we took just for fun!

Take Camp Home: Find your camper’s silly face!

Then, we had morning chapel where campers heard the Parable of the Lost Sheep (found in Luke 15 3-7). They then went back to their cabins and had some time to talk about the story with their counselors.

Afterwards, campers had some morning free time before going into TAC time. TAC time stands for Theme, Adventure, and Cooperation. There are six different stations, two in each category, that the campers will rotate through during this time each day until they go through all of the stations.

After TAC time, we headed to lunch, and then everyone met at the Amphitheater for a Mad Libs story acted out by a few counselors. Then, everyone went back to their cabins to get their mail and have Toes up Time. During Toes up Time, everyone has to be quiet and inside their cabins so that those who want to can take a nap to have energy for the rest of the day!

When everyone was up after Toes up Time, campers were told about the Staff Hunt! Staff members hid around camp, and campers got to search for them. If a camper found a staff member, they got to push them in the lake!

Then, the campers got free time!

After free time, campers gathered with their cabins at the Amphitheater for flag lowering, and then they were dismissed for dinner.

Then, it was time to play “Mighty Mighty Scoop Noodle Challenge!” This game is new to camp this year, and we absolutely love playing it and teaching it to the kids. It is similar to capture the flag, but there are a few extra rules and more items to capture. There is a lot going on with how many people play, but that’s half the fun!

Take Camp Home: Have your camper teach you the “Mighty Mighty Scoop Noodle Challenge” battle cry.

Now, campers are enjoying some free time before evening chapel. In tomorrow’s blog, I will talk about the lesson from tonight’s chapel along with some pictures. After chapel, campers will have night time devotionals with their cabins, and then it will be time for bed.
