We had such a fun day today out in the sun with some awesome games and activities!

In last night’s chapel, campers learned the game “Gorilla Gets the Man.” It is basically rock-paper-scissors, only you use your whole body, and there’s a song that goes along with it. After the game, we worshiped, and then our speaker, Adam Roub, came to stage. We talked about how God is worthy of our trust and that sitting at the Lord’s table will change your life forever. We looked at the memory verse Psalms 56:3, and then, some staff members helped act out the story of Esther.

This morning started as usual with polar dip, flag raising, memory verse and actions (Colossians 3:13), breakfast, and then morning chapel. Today in morning chapel, the campers hear the story of the Good Samaritan (found in Luke 10:25-37), and then they went back to their cabins to discuss the lesson.

Afterwards, they had some free time before going into TAC time! The groups rotated to a new category today and got to enjoy two new activities.

When TAC time was over, we headed inside for lunch. After lunch, campers went to the Amphitheater for another Mad Libs story!

Take Camp Home: Ask your camper what the Mad Libs stories were about!

Then, campers went back to their cabins to get their mail, and afterwards, it was Toes up Time!

Once everyone was rested, the campers were taught how to play “Storm the Castle!” It is our medieval themed capture the flag game with an added objective as a tie breaker. The campers try to steal the flags from the tower or they can leave a tally mark on the castle.

After “Storm the Castle,” it was free time!

At the end of free time, everyone gathered at the Amphitheater for flag lowering before dinner.

After dinner, campers were dismissed to go enjoy the “Ye Olde Renaissance Faire.”

Take Camp Home: Ask your camper what their favorite activity was at the Renaissance Faire!

Now, campers have their evening free time before chapel. After chapel, campers will have cabin devotionals and go to bed.
