Today was another incredibly sunny day here at camp made for another awesome day to spend outside!
In last night’s chapel, we talked about showing adoration in God’s presence. Kristen King read the story of the Israelites in the Desert after they had been rescued from Egypt. They began to disobey God and question Him because they weren’t thanking Him for His miracles and lost sight of all He was doing for them. Kristen also talked about how God reveals Himself and His glory through His actions and creation.
This morning started with the polar dip, flag raising, breakfast, TAG Time, and morning chapel. In women’s chapel, we heard from one of our staff members Marissa about who she was before committing her life to Christ and how we are not stuck in the shame of our past mistakes, but we are made new in Christ. The men talked about being a man of God and honoring Him in everything they do.
After morning chapel, we had the volleyball tournament! Boys and girls cabins played through a double elimination bracket until one boy and one girl cabin was left. During the tournament, there was a slip ‘n’ slide open to cool off. Then, we had lunch on the North 40 Field!
Once everyone was back from the field, we went inside for today’s mail call video, and then it was free time!
Following free time, everyone gathered for flag raising before dinner. Tonight’s theme was Disney Villains! Staff . members were dressed up as Disney villains and we had some cool and spooky decorations.
Today, we had clinics and seminars after dinner was over. Campers had some new options to choose from.
Take Camp Home: Ask your camper what they learned from the clinics and seminars they attended this week. Which one was their favorite?
After clinics and seminars, we had an awesome event we call “Campchella.” There was an open mic, a coffee house, games, and more!
Now campers are heading up to chapel. After chapel there will be cabin devotionals and then lights out.
