Super Kids 1 – Day 2

At the sound of the first bell ring of the morning, campers lined up for their turn to make a splash!  The Polar Dip is a great way to wake up and campers who participate each morning will win a prize valued between zero and million dollars!

After drying off, everyone gathered for flag raising.  This morning, Israel Cabin hung the stars and stripes.  Campers are memorizing this week’s verse, Titus 2:11-13

TAKE CAMP HOME

Campers have been learning the actions for the memory verse this week.

“For the grace of God that brings salvation, has a appeared to all people, and it teaches us to say no to ungodliness but yes to living self-controlled, upright and Godly lives in this present time, while wait for the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

Titus 2:11-13 (Camp Lebanon Version)

Have them teach you the actions!

After breakfast, everyone gathered for morning chapel before enjoying optional activities.  There are many talented chalk artists and rope jumpers here this week!

TAKE CAMP HOME

Campers had Cabin Adventure time this morning and did many different activities.

1) Ask your camper what they did for their cabin adventure?

2) Did they play a game?

3) Did they explore nature? What did they see?

After lunch, everyone headed to the North 40 to play Shipwreck.  Teams gathered lots of treasure while trying to avoid pirates! Smiles were plentiful as each team’s cove filled with bounty.

During the afternoon, campers had free time to go swimming, ride the Zipline, or shop at the Canteen or Trading Post.  The buddy board was filling up as many campers explored the swimming area and tried Corcling.

After dinner, campers banded together in teams to Free the Hostage!  A human version of capture the flag.  They had to locate the “hostage” on the other teams territory and untie them before leading them back  to the base.

There is a short break to play and visit the Canteen now and then we will head to evening chapel.  It was a fun and busy first day of Camp!!
