No fooling!

No fooling! April Fool’s Day 1986 was Bill and Lisa Abeler’s first official day on the job at Camp Lebanon. As they left the newly rented farm house (another story for another day!) and jumped into their 1978 Olds Omega, they discovered that not one but two tires were flat!

Facilities Manager, Jeff Vangness, one of only two other Camp employees, thought they were joking but later came to the rescue. The newcomers eventually made it in and thirty-eight April Fool’s Days later, they’re still checking their tires before driving in to Camp!
