Ministry Update – May 2024

With a sweet theme like “The Good Shepherd” and Summer Youth Camps filling fast, we are feeling baa-baa-blessed. There are so many fun activities to plan and lessons to prepare grounded in our theme texts, John 10:10-11 and Psalm 23. It will baa-baa-be an enriched summer, for campers and staff alike!

PRAISE!!

  • 21 of 40 Summer Staff hired and they are an amazing team, which we are so thankful for. The D3 Program’s Leaders In Training (LIT) is nearly full, too! What a baa-baa-blessing

PRAY!!

We have 19 staff positions to fill with only 5 weeks left to Staff Training! We trust that our Shepherd will guide us to “green pastures,” sending us the right staff in His timing. Open positions:

  • 3-5 Male Counselors
  • 2-3 Female Counselors
  • 1-2 Lifeguards
  • Junior Staff Supervisor
  • 4 D3 Team Leads (Housekeeping, Dining Hall, Maintenance, Program, Leaders In Training)
  • Master of Ceremonies
  • Craft Coordinator
  • Videographer

Ways You Can Help:

  • Share about Camp with any high school graduates and young adults who love the Lord and want to spend a summer serving Him!
  • Encourage your teens to come for leadership training! Openings remain in SWEAT Team and Service Crew for ages 14-17! Find out more about the D3 Program and share the link with anyone you think might be interested!
  • Can’t come to help for a full summer, but love spending time at Camp? We have opportunities for people to serve for just one week at a time!
  • This includes volunteer positions like Fishing Grandparents, Program & Activities helpers (like crafts), and Nurses!
  • We need Week-By-Week Counselors who can help us fill in gaps throughout the entire summer!

Interested? Simply reach out to directly with any questions! With the Good Shepherd leading the way, we are confident that it is going to be a baa-baa-beautiful summer!
