Junior High 1 was an incredible week at Camp Lebanon, filled with nonstop fun, meaningful friendships, and opportunities for campers to grow in their faith.
From the moment campers arrived, cabins quickly became more than just a place to sleep, they became a home away from home. Cabin time gave campers the chance to connect with their counselors, build lasting friendships, and share meaningful conversations throughout the week.
There was no shortage of adventure during Junior High 1. Campers soared through the trees on the zipline, put their skills to the test during laser tag, and spent time cooling off at the waterfront. The inflatable obstacle course quickly became a favorite, bringing plenty of laughs, friendly competitiion, and unforgettable memories. Campers also enjoyed getting creative during crafts, making projects to remember their week at camp.
The all-camp games brought excitement to a whole new level. During Free the Hostage, campers were split into two teams and raced across camp to locate staff members hiding on the opposing team’s side. Teamwork, strategy, and quick thinking were essential as campers worked together to rescue as many hostages as possible.
Competition was fierce during the volleyball tournament, with campers cheering on their cabins throughout every match. Egypt cabin claimed the boys’ championship, while Zambia cabin took home the girls’ title. The excitement continued as the two champion cabins faced off to determine the ultimate winner, with Egypt cabin earning the title of overall champion.
One of the week’s most memorable events was Animals Got Talent, where campers transformed their counselors into a variety of animals and performed creative skits explaining each animal’s unique characteristics. The creativity, humor, and enthusiasm on display made for an unforgettable evening filled with laughter.
As the sun went down, campers geared up for Light Runner, an exciting nighttime game where they searched for hidden Light Wardens throughout camp. By completing challenges and earning glow sticks, cabins worked together to collect as many points as possible.
While the activities and games made for an unforgettable week, chapel remained the heart of Junior High 1. Each day, campers gathered to worship together, hear from God’s Word, and reflect on what it means to follow Jesus. Through engaging messages and meaningful discussions, campers were encouraged to grow deeper in their faith and build relationships that extend beyond their week at camp.
Junior High 1 was filled with moments of laughter, adventure, and spiritual growth. We are so thankful for every single camper who helped make this week so special.
