These verses go hand-in-hand for me. I had a poster, back in middle school with Philippians 4:6 on it. More recently, the next verse has stood out to me because of the hope it promises.
A close professor of mine brought my attention back to Psalm 119:105. She reminded me of how much a lamp is meant to show and, in that, God only reveals so much to us at a time, causing us to lean in to Him more and rely on His provision rather than overwhelming us with every step need to be taken.

It reminds me of the reason I am working, living, and breathing; that is the harvest of souls saved for eternity and coming to realize the grace, mercy, and unending love of God. I also love encouraging others and pointing them to the Father. I hope that in everything I do I am a reflection of Christ to everyone around me.

I don’t know if there is a verse that I would call my favorite, but I appreciate Proverbs 26:4-5 a lot. 4 “Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself.” 5 “Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.” Although they appear contradictory, I think these two verses are an important reminder of the importance of discernment.

If you could eat only one food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why? Probably salad? I can’t think of many foods that would give you all the necessary nutrients, but you can pretty much throw whatever you want on some greens and call it a salad. Versatility.

This has become a new favorite verse in college, I find it encouraging to know that other Christians are struggling against the temptations of the world, but God is there to strengthen our resolve and steady our path. It also is a reminder that God is always there steadfast behind every person and his love is with use. I find strength of spirit in this verse and use it to remind me every day that we are put through trials to grow Gods kingdom on earth.
