Junior High 1 – Day 2

Good evening from Camp Lebanon!!  What a fun day we have had!

The morning started off with an option to jump in the Lake for the Polar Dip.  Campers will receive a prize at the end of the week if jump in each day!  Despite the chilly temps, many took up the challenge and found the lake to be warmer than expected!

Everyone gathered at The Steps of Faith for Flag Raising, Morning Movement, and memorizing the verse for this week, Titus 2:11-13.

Campers have been learning the actions for the memory verse this week.

“For the grace of God that brings salvation, has a appeared to all people, and it teaches us to say no to ungodliness but yes to living self-controlled, upright and Godly lives in this present time, while wait for the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

Titus 2:11-13 (Camp Lebanon Version)

Ask your camper to teach you the actions!

After breakfast, campers broke out for TAG time, time alone with God, before going to Morning Chapel.

Free time followed and campers enjoyed all the activities around the Hub including Octoball, Nine square and Four square.  Campers had another opportunity to take their swim test if they were unable to yesterday.

Campers gathered for Lunch Lineup and a game with counselors before enjoying a tasty meal of chicken strips, mac ‘n’ cheese, salad and fruit.

Back at the Steps of Faith, campers received their mail after the first mail call of the week (a skit put on by staff members).  Staff also hosted Clinics and Seminars before an afternoon of fun free time!

There are a variety of ways campers can spend their afternoon but Zipline and Laser Tag adventures with cabins were definitely a favorite!!

Campers got to run off some of their energy in a fun game!  We played Shipwreck on the North 40 where campers had to travel as a cabin to gather treasure all while defending and repairing the vessel when it was attacked.  The cabins’ treasure coves were filled to bursting and everyone had fun working as a team!

Ask your camper about the game this evening!  What was their favorite part?

I hear the bell ringing now, time for evening Chapel!  We look forward to sharing the week with you!  It’s been a wonderful first day of camp!
