What a fun and full day we have had!! From the first bell of the morning to a beautiful sunset over Bass Point, campers have explored God’s creation and seen how he is our Mighty Savior!
The first bell of the day let campers know it was time to gather at the water front for an optional Polar Dip! With the promise of a prize for participating both days, bright eyed campers lined the walkway waiting for their turn to jump in Cedar Lake.
Everyone gathered at The Steps of Faith to raise the Flag! We said the Pledge of Allegiance to honor the flag and those who have served our country before doing our Morning Movement to help stretch and wake up. We also practiced our memory verse for the week, John 3:16!
TAKE CAMP HOME
Bobber Bill taught actions to go with the verse, ask your camper to teach them to you!
“For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 – Camp Lebanon Version)
Campers had time to try out different options before heading to Morning Chapel. We learned several action songs before Bobber Bill shared a thrilling story. It had three stories in one and campers got to see the parallel with the Gospel.
After Chapel, campers went on a Staff Hunt! Always an adventure, campers had to find and tag staff around camp and lead them to the dock before pushing them in the lake. This was definitely a highlight of the day!
After so many activities and games, everyone was ready for some lunch, taco salad with fresh fruit. Campers got to watch a second skit before heading back to their cabins for Toes Up Time (quiet time to rest and relax).
Feeling well rested and ready to play some more, campers gathered on the Lower Field to enjoy the Carnival!! There were so many fun games to play! Campers could get face paint or even dunk a staff member at the Dunk Tank!
TAKE CAMP HOME
Ask your camper about the Carnival! What was their favorite game? Did they try out the slip ‘n’ slide? Maybe they dunked their counselor!
Campers enjoyed playing with friends this afternoon during free time as they visited favorite spots like the water front, the Hub, and the craft room.
After dinner it was time for the Campfire! Cabins gathered at the Steps of Faith before traveling to Bass Point. We sang songs, played Gorilla gets the Man (a variation of rock paper scissors), and went on a Lion Hunt! We just missed the lion tonight but everyone had fun on the adventure!
Now it’s off to bed to rest up for a fun filled morning tomorrow! We can’t wait to share a taste of camp with you at the Closing Rally!
