For the weekend of 4th of July, 50+ families came up to Camp Lebanon to enjoy the blazing hot temperatures, the cool water of Cedar Lake, and lots of laser tag, zipline, boating, tie-dye, and more! Family weekends are a great time to get away as a family group, spend time with each other, and to create memories that will be cherished forever! It was so amazing to have families back at Camp!
Family campers always have lots of options for fun and relaxation. Lots to do, but everything is optional (except for our delicious meals – who would want to miss all that yummy food?)! Each day had something new to enjoy, whether it was laser tag, zipline, swimming, or the special tie-dye craft.
One of the highlights of the 4th of July weekend Family Camp is the fireworks show after the campfire on the last night! Everyone gathered around the shore of Cedar Lake, on the grassy hill above the beach. The Camp staff had spent lots of time setting up a great fireworks show for everyone!
Not only did families get to have lots of fun together. They also had the opportunity to hear some Big ‘T’ Truths from the speakers for the weekend, Brian Lubinski and Bobber Bill! Every morning, families heard something new about our Awesome Creator from Brian (stars, sandhill cranes & more!). And each evening, Bobber Bill shared about how God is our Mighty Savior!
It was such a wonderful weekend with these families, and the Camp Staff are already missing everyone so much! So grateful to have had the opportunity to spend a weekend with these families. Let’s do it again next year!
