Tie-Dye, Zipline, and Teamwork!

A blog post for Tuesday of Junior High 3 at Camp Lebanon

Tuesday was a beautiful day at Camp. The day started, once again, with the Polar Dip to wake us up and get us ready for the day. After breakfast and more time spent alone with God in prayer, we had our second session of Clinics and Seminars. Different classes were offered today than what was offered yesterday, so there was a ton of new ideas for us to learn.

After a brief Canteen break, we had morning chapel. Today, the girls talked about Loving Your Neighbor, and the guys talked about Responsibility and Integrity. Morning chapels are always a great opportunity for hard questions and good discussions.

Next, we had lunch, another funny mail-call skit, and FREE TIME! Today during Free Time, we made tie-dye shirts, swam, went boating, played a round of Two Rooms and a Boom (a fun strategy game), and we rode the Screamin’ Eagle Zipline. The zipline is a highlight of the week for many campers.

As Free Time ended, we made our way up to the North 40 field for a tasty picnic dinner of hamburgers, potato salad, and cookies. Then, it was time for our volleyball tournament! The junior high volleyball tournaments are a great time to bond as a cabin, and also to learn good sportsmanship and teamwork. We had a blast tonight!

Now, the campers are enjoying some Canteen time before evening chapel. We are ready to worship together and to hear another great message from Kirsten King to bring an end to this wonderful Tuesday.
