Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy
There was nothing sour about this spring’s Quilt & Craft Retreats, though there was a slightly lemon-y flavor! We had so much fun with this springy theme, even when the weather wasn’t exactly cooperating. There was lots of snow, but also lots of sunshine (inside and out) throughout the month of March. We welcomed over 400 quilters to camp in those four weeks, and we can’t even start to count all of the amazing projects that got started and completed in those weeks!
There were so many opportunities for quilters & scrapbookers to stretch their skills, and to learn something new! We had classes for two quilt patterns (Lemonade Stand and Trail Mix), as well as a Beginning Machine Quilting class and several classes that were hosted by our quilt shops! It was so fun to see quilters challenging themselves with new things.
Whether it was a sing-along with the quilt instructors (try singing with a slice of lemon in your mouth!), or a visit from Chef Bobbér Bill to teach us all of the special ways to use lemons in cooking (and other things), there was no mistaking a good theme like The Lemonade Stand. This theme really allowed us to explore ideas of the sweet and the sour in our lives, and how God works through both! As always, we can’t wait to see what the future of quilt camps at Camp Lebanon has in store for us! See you in the fall!
