Junior High 3, Day 2

We can hardly believe that it is already Day 2 of Junior High 3 – this week has been that much fun so far! These Junior High campers have already reconnected with friends – new and old, and continued to jump right into The Funnest Fun Camp has to offer them. What a true joy it has been to host and serve these campers this week, and we are looking forward to the rest of the week we have with them!

Picking right up where we left off yesterday – Afternoon Free Time! This is a camper favorite – with so many options to choose from, there is truly something fun for every camper to do at Camp! Campers could be found splashing in Cedar Lake down at the waterfront, in the craftroom, hanging out in the Hub playing games, running around West End playing Laser Tag, catching fish at the Fishing Docks, or up at the Screamin’ Eagle Zipline! When the bell rang next, it was time to meet at the Ampitheatre for Flag Lowering and dinner line-up.

Following dinner, it was time for a game! Campers love games, especially ones where cabin points are at stake! This game was no exception. Called “Challenge Marathon,” campers got to go around Camp, finding staff members at stations, and complete challenges in exchange for tickets (which count for cabin points!). After the game, the windows opened at the Canteen, signifying that it was ready for campers to come and get their fill of treats! Then, the bell rang for Evening Chapel, so we all made our way to the Main Hall to hear from our speaker for the week, Grant! During Chapel, Grant reminded campers that in the Trinity, God is three persons in one. After some worship, it was time to transition into bedtime, so campers and counselors made their way back to their cabins for devos.

TAKE CAMP HOME

Talk with your camper about Chapel last night. What was something they took away from Grant’s message? Do they believe fully that God is three persons in one? Pray with them, and ask that the Lord would reveal Himself to you and your camper!

Like yesterday morning, our Tuesday began down at the waterfront with Polar Dip! Although there were less campers who participated this morning, we still had plenty who are dedicated to this tradition at Camp. Once the bell rang, it was time for Flag Raising so we all met at the Steps of Faith. Canada cabin volunteered to Raise the Flag, and they did a great job! After eating breakfast, it was time for Morning Chapel – where we split for the first time guys/girls. This is a really special time for our older youth campers, as they get to learn about specific topics from men and women on staff in a more individualized setting. We really love our split Morning Chapels!

To be continued tomorrow! Keep praying for these campers during their time here at Camp!
