Super Kids 1 – Day 4

We can’t believe it’s already the last day of Camp!  It has been such a fun week!  Campers have stayed busy soaking up every piece.

Last night at Chapel, Darla continued the conversation about God, our Mighty Savior.  We learned about the Holy Spirit and how, just like a rudder, He guides us through life.  We can carry on without acknowledging His presence or we can “stir Him up” like chocolate in milk and our walk through this life becomes so much sweeter!

TAKE CAMP HOME

We talked about five things the Holy Spirit does.  Ask your camper to share them with you!

  1. The Holy Spirit is a helper (John 14:16, Phil 2:13)
  2. The Holy Spirit is a convictor (John 16:8)
  3. The Holy Spirit is a guide (John 16:13)
  4. The Holy Spirit is a teacher (John 14:26)
  5. The Holy Spirit is a changer (Gal. 5:22-23)

At flag raising, campers learned the last of the Memory Verse, Titus 2:11-13!  Morning Movement took us to the ocean as we pretended to be jellyfish.  Campers enjoyed a tasty breakfast with french toast strips, sausage, fresh fruit and delicious, heart-healthy oatmeal!

After a skit and mail delivery, campers headed to their cabins for extra Toes-Up Time.  Many campers were tired and this was a much appreciated pause by all.  A longer rest period helped everyone come back for Free Time feeling rested and with positive attitudes.

Shouts and cries of “Man Down!” sounded from stumps as the last of the boys’ cabins took to the woods in a competitive round of laser tag.  The strategizing was intense but the friendship ran deeper.

On the other side of the hill, campers visited the Craft Room for the craft of the day, Friendship Bracelets! Campers got to try a practice one before making their own for 25 cents.

TAKE CAMP HOME

We have had so many fun free time activities this week! Ask your camper what they enjoyed and who they played it with!

After dinner, we have a full night with Chapel at 6:30 before everyone heads out to Bass Point for the first Campfire of the summer!  Shhh! Don’t say anything but there have been whispers that there might be a Lion Hunt!
