Summer Staff Bios – Counselors

SUMMER IS HERE!!!

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our 2023 summer staff to Camp to prepare them for the amazing summer ahead of us! We have a such a strong team this summer, and we can’t wait to see how God works in and through them this summer. Without further ado, we introduce to you….. The 2023 summer counseling team!! 

Female Counselors

Abby Sickler

College Major: Double Major in Business and Biblical & Theological Studies

Fun Fact: I lived in England for 6 months!

What are you looking forward to this summer: Being outside in God’s beautiful creation at camp and sharing the Gospel with everyone I can!

Elena Mendoza

Favorite Hobbies: I love to quilt and sew clothes. I enjoy reading and watching movies

Fun Fact: I am bilingual (Spanish).

What are you looking forward to this summer: I can’t wait to have the opportunity to spend time with younger generations and pour into camp like it has done for me.

Ellie Tebow

College Major: Business

Fun Fact: My favorite song is Gobble Gobble by Matthew west.

Describe your perfect pizza: Stuffed crust with a tiny bit of sauce and lots of cheese, pepperoni, chicken, and bacon.

Annalise Busch

College Major: Nursing

What is your favorite camp memory: The volleyball tournament in the rain at senior high camp last year.

Favorite Hobbies: Playing piano and violin, ballet, baking, watercolor painting, playing volleyball, reading good books, spending time with friends and family.

Aanika Reiff

College Major: Environmental sciences

What is your favorite camp memory: My first time going to arctic blast.

What is your favorite Bible verse: Isaiah 43:8-19. It explains that God has you right where you need to be in life, and it brings you peace that everything happens for a reason and you are there for a reason.

Shelby Greven

College Major: Communications

Fun Fact: I was born in Italy and have lived in four different countries.

If you had a warning label, what would it be: ⚠️WARNING: SUPER energetic and happy. Will EXPLODE in laughter at any moment. She’ll never scare you by how loud she is because you can hear her a mile away.

Jennica Standafer

College Major: Marketing and Sales Management 

Favorite Hobbies: Singing, hiking, running, working out

How would you describe yourself in five words: Ambitious, passionate, flexible, determined, emotional

Megan Moen

College Major: Vocal performance

Favorite Hobbies: Theater, musicals, hanging out with my twin, coloring, piano, guitar, and ukulele.

Fun Fact: I have 5 sets of twins in my family!

Lydia Jang

College Major: Molecular and Cellular Biology.

Favorite Hobbies: Reading and random craft/art projects.

What are you looking forward to this summer: Meeting all the new camper and new people!

Lily Larson

College Major: Nursing

Favorite Hobbies: roller blading and hammocking.

Fun Fact:  I love French soda.

What are you looking forward to this summer: Having a great time with kids and learning more about Christ like community.

Chris Oliver

College Major: Business Finance and analytics and analysis.

Favorite Hobbies: Watching UFC, Scrabble, going on walks, and eating by myself.

What are you looking forward to this summer: Senior High!

Cody Johnson

College Major: Kinesiology

Favorite Hobbies: Music, Movies, Friend hangouts, Photography, Reading.

What are you looking forward to this summer: Music and ministry.

Colt Ritter

College Major: I plan on mechanical engineering

Fun Fact: I work for a llama farmer

What are you looking forward to this summer: The kids and getting to know them. And getting closer to God and my friends.

Joseph Akins

College Major: Pastoral Ministry’s with a emphasis in youth

Fun Fact: I have 11 siblings.

What are you looking forward to this summer: The ways I will see God move in my life and those around me.

Issac Shoemaker

College Major: Marine and Power Sports

Fun Fact: I’ve lived at 2 camps.

What is your favorite Bible verse: Psalm 46:1 because it reminds me that He is there me when I need him even when it doesn’t feel like it. He knows how everything will work out.

Grant Janowiec

College Major: Nonprofit Leadership

Hobbies: I play soccer, hang out with friends from church and the neighborhood, and work at Pizza Ranch

Favorite verse: Mathew 5:16 because it talks about the joy of the Lord. I want to point people to Christ through the joy he’s given me.

Evan Dallas

College Major: Biology / Environmental Science

Fun Fact: I prefer unpasteurized milk over pasteurized.

What are you looking forward to this summer: Sharing the love of Christ with kids alongside some of my best friends

Sam O'Brien

College Major: Mass Communications
Favorite Hobbies: I currently have collected over 25,000 baseball cards, I’ve been doing theatre since 2013, and I’m one of the 36th ranked humorous speaker in the country (According to NIETOC results)
Fun Fact: I might be the biggest twins fan alive at this current moment in time

Noah Derosiers

Hobbies: Baseball playing and card collecting, Football, Traveling , Reading.

What are you looking forward to this summer: Hang out with and mentoring youth and making memories.

Fun Fact: I am the wiffleball bandit.

Matthew Tweeten

College Major: Music Education

Hobbies: Anything music, watching and playing sports, working outside

What are you looking forward to this summer: I am looking forward to spending time with campers, getting to know them, and help them grow in their relationship with Jesus.
