God did it again! When seventy delegates, friends, and staff gathered on February 24 for the Annual Meeting of the Membership, the scheduled business meeting turned into a worship service. Report after report testified to the goodness of God. Life changing ministries occurred in all 54 programmed events. The 2023 budget balanced. Many capital improvements were completed. And dreams for a growing future are alive!
The ministry is not without its challenges, of course, with Bill and Lisa Abeler retiring and an approved $2.5M budget to meet. In the end, however, there was much to celebrate. Saved for last was a big “THANK YOU!” to Camp’s amazing registrar, Faith Petersen. At seventy-seven, she is two months older than Camp Lebanon and has served as a six-year fill in. “I love my job!” Faith beamed, and everyone loves her.
